Götessons was founded in 1984 and has since developed into an international group offering a complete range of workplace solutions focused on office spaces. The group includes acoustic expertise through Akustikmiljö in Falkenberg, acquired in 2015. In 2019, David Design, an exclusive brand producing furniture created by Sweden's leading designers, was acquired. In 2022, Scan Sørlie joined the group, a leading furniture player in the Nordic market with strong expertise in production and product development. In January 2024, we welcomed Norco Interior and SIAS Contract to the group, a market-leading interior design group with a presence in both the Nordic countries and Central and Eastern Europe. Since early November 2025, Brigo, specializing in manufacturing and product development, has also been part of the group. The merged group amounts to approximately 1.5 billion SEK with around 700 employees.

About the position
As the Director of Development, you will have overall responsibility for leading and developing the group's product development in an international and fast-growing interior design group. The role combines strategic responsibility with operational leadership and involves close collaboration with sales, marketing, and purchasing to ensure a competitive and profitable product range.

Your responsibilities

• Lead and be responsible for the group's overall product development efforts
• Develop and implement a long-term product strategy with a clear thread and platform thinking
• Drive the entire product lifecycle, from idea and development to launch, improvement, and phase-out
• Lead, coach, and develop a geographically dispersed team of product developers
• Ensure commercial relevance through close collaboration with sales, marketing, and purchasing
• Be responsible for budget, follow-up, and profitability calculations for development projects
• Actively participate in assortment councils and strategic priorities
• Ensure quality, sustainability, and relevant certifications in product development
• Follow market trends through supplier visits, trade fairs, and environmental monitoring

You are a confident and present leader with a strong business sense and an ability to combine strategy with execution. You thrive in complex organizations, enjoy working cross-functionally, and have a genuine interest in products, design, and development. With an unpretentious and engaged approach, you create structure, direction, and commitment within the team.

Knowledge and experience:

• Relevant academic education, such as an engineering degree
• Experience in a leading role within product development, preferably in the furniture or interior design industry
• Familiarity with leading and developing teams, preferably in a distributed organization
• Experience with the entire product lifecycle and strategic assortment work
• Good knowledge of materials, production, and the supplier market
• Experience with budget work, calculations, and profitability analyses
• Familiarity with sustainability issues and certifications
• Strong collaborative skills and experience with cross-functional work
